> Well, according to [the Geek Hierarchy](http://hackvan.com/pub/stig/funny/geek/the-geek-hierarchy/the-geek-hierarchy-chart-2.0-fullversion.gif), they are the third lowest geek lifeform, only above “Erotic Furries” and “People who write erotic versions of Star Trek where all the characters are furries, like Kirk is an Ocelot or something, and they put a furry verision of themselves in the story.”
>
> But then, I qualify for inclusion within at least eight other boxes on that chart, so I can’t be judgemental now. Oh, wait — _yes I can!_

In that story is Kirk owned by Honey West?

> Slight hijack, and no offence intended, but it seems to me that the questioning of the sanity of “furry sex” enthusiasts by someone called **Necro Romancer** has got to be as good an example of chutzpah as any. 😛

I think that’s a dead issue.

So, are the fetish furries the original Pound Puppies? Or is pound puppies just a euphemism for masturbation in that crowd?

> If you don’t understand it a little, think about how Bunny Girls are attractive, or look at the costumes worn by the dancers in Cats. Prrrrrrrrr.

I saw a five minute clip from Cats once, in a theater appreciation class I was taking in college.

It made me physically ill.

Furries I can understand. The appeal of Andrew Lloyd Webber remains elusive.

I’ve noticed that too. I’ve also noticed that a lot of them (maybe even a majority) are gay or bi. Interesting, to say the least.

**Miller** : Seems to me that talking and sometimes bipedal animal characters have been around a long time. I mean, in ancient Egypt almost all the gods had animal heads and/or bodies. Whether anyone found the jackal-headed god Anubis attractive, however, is forever lost to time. 🙂 Anyway, the concept of personified animals is not new. I guess it’s just not hard to look at another creature and imagine that it too has thoughts and feelings like people do.

I always thought that the Playboy girls wearing ears and tails was a little weird. Maybe Hugh’s a closet furry? Bwahahaha!

Furries seem no worse then anything else geeky. Not that I’ve ever seen a furry convention, but I’ve been to a star trek convention. I don’t see how the former could be any worse or wierder then the latter.

I like cats(Mine is with me now, trying to help me type, or plotting my death for taking away her ovaries) and enjoy Andrew Lloyd Webber, but I was incredibly bored during _Cats_.

I doubt if furries understand why they like being furry, like a lot of sexual interests its pretty durned irrational in nature. As long as it doesn’t scare the horses …

Hey, some of it probably WOULD scare the horses!

I think that’s more likely to come from the idea they’d f— you like bunnies, rather than a furry connection. Although nothing would surprise me.

I just wanna know, did Monty Python invent this or is it just a coincidence? That sketch was written 30 years before I heard of the fetish.
