It occurs to me that I’ve never done this. 200+ posts and I’ve never created a thread to find out the answer to something. Here goes.

I’m looking for information on a song. I thought it was a Robert Earl Keen Jr. song, but I can’t find it in his discography. Basically it’s a story song where some kids end up involved in rustling cattle and taking them to Mexico. I heard the song and loved it and I want to own it and play it. Please help.

Thanks!

Could be **The Master’s Call**.

_“When I was but a young man I was wild and full of fire, a youth within my teens but full of challenge and desire … One night we rustled cattle, a thousand head or so, and started them out on the trail that leads to Mexico.”_

I think you’re right on Keen - is it [Shades of Grey](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RArZGbD9k-M)?
