# HELP! MS Outlook, messages jumping up and down!

I’ve got two messages in my MS Outlook in box – they’re from someone I know, but I think they’re corrupted. They keep bouncing up and down, or, more properly, blinking on and off. (This makes all the messages _below_ them jump up and down.)

I can’t delete them! I can’t get the focus on them long enough! They pop in, pop out, pop in, pop out… About two times a second.

Help? How do I delete these bastards?

Have you quit Outlook and restarted?

Have you rebooted?

Have you tried disconnecting from your network so you \*don’t \*have internet access and then start Outlook?

If you’re still having problems after trying all three of these ideas come back here for more help. And please tell us what version of OS & Outlook you have.

Fixed!

Stopping/starting MS Outlook didn’t do anything, but after a reboot, Outlook did some repairs when starting, and disabled certain functions (?) so the problem is fixed.

(Weird problem!)

(Heh! I also searched for solutions, and found a “free” tech support site. Free phone call…but they asked for my account and password! I hung up only fractionally slower than the speed of light!)
