# Help! My Original Picture Files Have All Been Shrunk

I’ve taken thousands of pics with my camera…and I was going through some old folders of them…and hundreds and hundreds have all ben shrunk down.
These were originally 2 to 3 MB (from my old camera) and recently 4 to 5 MB with my new camera. Now, entire folders are filled with original pics that are between 37 and 41 kb in size. Each is exactly the same size (256 x 192 pixels).
It’s like something went through and did a batch reduction.
I don’t even know _how_ to do a batch reduction, and, anyway, I use The Gimp (and occastionally Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 for red eye reduction).
Within some folders, only half the pics have been reduced.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ugh…I think I might have solved the issue…
I downloaded an image mosaic plug-in for the Gimp.
I ran it…it quit after a while. I think what it was doing was instead of making _copies_ of pics to use in a mosaic, it was reducing all my originals.
Fortunately it quit before it did too much damage.
