Stately Mercotan Manor has been without a full-time cat for a while now, but the Mrs. changed that up this week when she adopted (with my consent) a 3-ish year old feline by the name of “Sandy”. Now, living on the beach as we do, we both agree that having a cat named Sandy is too precious to allow. We plan to rename him. Here’s the conflict: I love my proposed name for him, she doesn’t care much for it. She likes her name proposed name for him much better. I find it an okay name, but it doesn’t thrill me with the name I prefer. So please vote for the name you prefer! ---

I don’t like any of them. It can’t be Sandy. I agree that under the circumstances, it’s too cutesy. The other two suggestions are… well, I can’t imagine liking a cat with either suggested name. ---

How about Allesandro, Sandford or Alasdair, all could be called Sandy. Or How about Koufax? ---

If I had to pick one it would be Genghis I suppose. Although I’m not too fond of it, try Cleetus instead. It’s what I’ll be naming my dog when I get him. ---
