I usually go with a really nice throw-blanket, more luxe than one they’d get for themselves.
Or if you go to a good wine store where the employees actually know something about wine you can ask for recommendations on a few bottles that age well and mature at different times. Then you put together a wine gift basket with some handmade tags for the bottle necks with future dates on them. 1st anniversary, 5th anniversary, 10th, etc.
A membership to a local art museum? That’s what I gave my dad and stepmother when they got married, and they loved it.
