Help needed from an Australian on Christmas songs

If you want to know what an Australian is really likely to miss at Christmas, it’s Christmas pudding or fruit cake. They are British traditions that made it to Australia, but strangely not to the U.S. If you can find or make either of these, it might ba welcome gesture!

Update on Christmas!

My friend recognized a couple of songs, though in the hustle and bustle of the day the music was lost a bit in the background. She actually danced a bit to Six White Boomers. And, like most of you, had never heard of the song Christmas Where the Gum Trees Grow.

The choir music was just classically beautiful, of course.

My friend brought White Christmas and Anzac Biscuits for dessert, both of which were very good. My relatives took a bunch of both home with them.

In all, a successful and fun day! My friend left her car here and walked home after lots of good food and lots of good drinks.

I’m glad to hear that it all went well Motorgirl.
