hey - mod - please don’t close this thread. For some reason you got two copies of the same OP, removed one and the other one never got any answers. FAQ’s doesn’t help. I want to know how to get instant e-mail notification that goes past one day. I like to follow threads so I check the box marked instant. But when I do that, it seems like it expires at the end of the day. On the other hand, if I check “daily notification” I fear that I’ll miss all the posts as they occur. What is the difference in these two designations? By the way, for this one, I’ll be checking Instant e -mail notification. ---

To change this globally, this is found in your User Control settings. Click on “User CP” in the left hand corner of the blue band on most every SDMB page. See “Settings and options” on the left hand side and click on “Edit Options.” Then click on “Default Thread Subscription Mode,” and select the option you want. Click “save changes” on the bottom. You can also change this on the fly; see the bottom of every reply window. “Thread Subscription.” Select the one you want. your humble TubaDiva Administrator
