# Help with craigslist (Ad not appearing in list)

I’m trying to sell my motorcycle through craigslist and it isn’t showing up in the list. The ad exists here:

But when I look through the motorcycle listings for pensacola it isn’t there:

I have no idea what is going on. I posted one ad, it didn’t show up on the list. I deleted that, posted a second ad which showed up, but that got deleted for being a duplicate. The one linked in this thread is my third attempt but it like the first one isn’t working right.
Any ideas?

That happened to me too. Immediately after posting the ad I couldn’t see it in their listings, but later on (don’t recall how much later) it was there, and other people could obviously see it since I got responses. I’ve posted multiple ads, and it happened several times (probably every time but I didn’t bother looking sometimes). I just chalked it up to a quirk in their listing program.
Edit: I assumed after clicking on the “publish ad” option on the page link in the email they send you (if I’m recalling the process correctly) that it was published successfully and didn’t bother worrying about it after.

CL will play “funny-buggers” with ads to prevent spam
For instance, on ocassion you put an ad in and if you click directly to the link it works and looks fine but will not show up on the list.
Other times it will show up in a search but not if you go down the list. Still other times it will not show up in a search but will show up if you browse the list
It’s not supposed to be done with paid ads, but it keeps the spammers at bay, 'cause they can’t tell if their ad is there or not

Ok, so what do I need to do to convince them that I am not a spammer?
