In [this video](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vggt8aRjgVE) (from YouTube), there is a beautiful, haunting soundtrack. It starts off purely instrumental (with a repeated bass line reminiscent of Philip Glass) and then adds a lovely choral element.

The name of the video (which is really just a slide show) is “German Forces during World War 2”. Just before the end, a credit is given which says, “Music by Escape”.

Suffice it to say, I can’t find the piece, or even its name, anywhere on the net. Indeed, I can’t even find a ‘group’ named Escape.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

That is a portion of “Escape,” by Craig Armstrong, from the _Plunkett & MacLeane_ soundtrack.

Wow! That’s it! Thanks so much.

BTW, how did you know it (did you listen to the YouTube clip?)

I recognized it from the YouTube clip. I love Craig Armstrong’s music.
