Unsure of the title – “Oh, no, you can’t do that/once you’ve started wearing those shoes” “Silver Thread and Golden Needles (Cannot Mend This Heart of Mine)” Patsy Cline, I think “Ten Cents A Dance” – old tune, maybe from the 30s “Dawn (Go Away I’m No Good For You)” and I hate to mention it because it’ll bring up so many bad memories, but this is a pretty maudlin thread topic in the first place as I think the nominees demonstrate, so “Patches” and I’ll stop there lest I come up with something even worse. ---

“Silver Threads and Golden Needles” was originally done by rockabilly/country artist Wanda Jackson; it was covered in 1962 by the UK group called the Springfields (featuring a not-yet-famous Dusty Springfield) and went to #20 in the US. Ronstadt covered it in 1973. ---
