I can’t get any videos to play on YouTube. The Play icon doesn’t show up on the videos. All I get is a black square with the Like, Don’t Like, etc, icons. 😕

I’ve got an Acer netbook and have never had trouble before. I’m running Win7 Starter edition, if that helps.

Thanks, all!

Do you have a flashblocker installed? What browser are you running? Is it up to date? Have you tried a different browser?

Hey, me too. It started last night. I can play them with IE but not Firefox.

I’m running Google Chrome, not sure which version. If I do have a flash blocker it’s entirely by accident as I didn’t know they existed.

Not working in FireFox, either. Now what did I do?

You could try updating your browser. Is this limited to youtube or do other video sites work?

The browser is the most updated version. I went to the Adobe site and followed their instructions and still nothing. Dammit, I hate when this stuff happens.

It’s only happening to youtube but I’ve discovered that if you add an “s” after the http, it will play.

Install any new firewall/virus-scanner/security-suite type software lately?

Me, neither. So far I have done everything the Adobe site told me to do. I’ve restarted my browser and even shut off and restarted my computer. Nothing’s working.

I just tried adding the “s” to the http. That worked but do I have to do it every time? Something is wrong here.

Clear all your browser cache/cookies/temporary internet files. Then restart the browser. That will fix 90% of those kind of problems.
