You are a self-righteous annoyance that is constantly disturbed by the pit and yet spend much time in the pit condescending to others. You need to shut up and tone down your act. You are annoying more and more posters on a daily basic and you appear oblivious to this fact. You always think you are correct, and yet you accuse others of the same. When caught in lies and mistakes you back-pedal or change the subject like no one I have ever seen before not in politics. You are incredibly annoying. I said it in the other thread, and I’ll say it now. You are a sanctimonious bitch. No, I have no personal beef with you, we’ve never tangled. But in almost every single post you make, you come across as a mean spirited, holier than thou, egotistical woman with a strong whiff of superiority complex. I think I’m one of her most vocal critics. When she first ticked me off was when she decided to defend Liberal and decry the denizens Pit for their unjustified and over the top meanness. This originated in that thread where Liberal was a douche to Pseudotriton Ruber Ruber for no reason in a thread that culminating in Liberal paying PRR $500 to leave. She jumped into this defense with both feet, though [she didn’t even read the thread that started it](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=8308654&postcount=222) She had no idea why everyone was so pissed at Lib, she was just defending him because he’s her buddy, not out of some sense of justice. PRR is not worthy of her defense no matter how much he might deserve it because he’s a vocal athetist, so [she didn’t agree with him and he just bugged her.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=8308469&postcount=183) Defending people who deserve a thumping seemingly arbitrarily. Calling names and making insinuations about the character of people who use the Pit correctly (we’ve been vultures, black birds, and jackals in her books) and who make posts that are perfectly allowed in the Pit, when and only when it suits her agenda. Condeming some meanness, while being mean herself. Deliberate obtuseness. These are going to be themes, so remember them. [At this point, she plays like she doesn’t understand why the Pit exists and how the Dope works](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=8307467&postcount=124). It was explained to her using. small. words. Ever since, she has looked for reasons to cluck and wag her finger at people arbitrarily, whoever she thinks is being “mean.” Because we’re stupid and have anger issues and aren’t good Christians or whatever. Being mean herself? Totally groovy. Because she isn’t morally consistent, she just gets off on trying to make other people feel guilty about venting their spleen in the designated forum. She obviously didn’t like [MizGrand’s actions.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=8440318&postcount=156) But, in the 13 page Pit thread about MizGrand’s infidelity, [she took people to task for being jackals.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=416253) Proving she still doesn’t get how the Pit works. I could cite specific posts, but jeez, it’s 13 pages, gimme a break. She is still flogging the whole [“The Pit needs to change”](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=8458908&postcount=196) horse, which I think she’s doing just to get a rise out of people now, since clearly she enjoys opportunities to be a bitch herself. Total hypocrite, is what she is. Bottom line, she really seems to enjoy criticizing the very premise of the Pit, no matter how many times she is told what is allowed, how it works, why it’s necessary, and how she avails herself of its benefits when she sees fit. I wish she’d give it a rest, and the only reason I can think that she wouldn’t is that she likes to pull chains. I shouldn’t let her pull mine, either, but obviously I’m not there yet. Plus, it’s kind of amusing now, and she is a very skilled troll at this point. One has to admire the act, it’s very good. I am sure there are better examples and more, but it’s late and I just watched Lost and it ended a little :eek: , so I should retire. But since I have wished for the energy to do this Pitting myself, and Jim felt the spirit move him to do it just now for some reason, I figured I’d throw my reasons for being irritated at her into the water like chum. ---

For the zillionth time, it’s.not.about.being.mean. It’s.about.being.vicious.and.vituperative. Or, in case the big words hurt your eyes, it means being hateful and nasty and horrible and beastly, not just plain ol’ mean. Plain ol’ garden-variety mean is not what I’m talking about and never did. It’s the hateful cruel, knife-to-the-gut, wounding type mean that I’m against. ---

I never look in these Pit threads, but I did in this case because I often relate to what Quiddity Glomfuster says. Often she’s intolerant of intolerance, and while that hardly seems like a good tactic, I can sympathize. [This post](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=8556932&postcount=19) says a lot. She has high expectations of others because her expectations for herself are even higher. To some extent she has disappointed herself, however, and that adds bitterness – and bitterness rubs most people the wrong way.
