When it comes to dealing with **Quiddity** on this message board, _how_ she came to be so annoying isn’t particularly relevant. I just had that vibe of wasted potential, like the kid who gets shat on by everyone in school for no reason and then turns into an asshole as a defense mechanism. He didn’t ask to be the scapegoat, so it’s sad that he’s now all fucked up. But he’s also still an asshole. ---

I’m relatively new to the boards (although I’ve been here a bit longer than Ms. **Quiddity Glomfuster** , I’m very new compared to many posters here) and I’m going to tell a story: **A, B, C, D, E, F** and \*\*G \*\* regulary played poker on Friday nights after work. Part of the game was to mercilessly tease each other - it was part of the house strategy and everyone who decided to join the game was made aware of the rules and agreed to play their way. This lasted until November 2006 when **H \*\* decided he/she wanted to play poker too.** H\*\* was much, much, much, much (intimidatingly so) smarter than\*\* A\*\* - **G** and felt that the way they played needed correction. **H** loudly interrupted a game that everyone seemed to be enjoying to explain that the rules were just _wrong_. The players took their time to explain to\*\* H\*\* that everyone was happy with the rules as they were, but since **H** was a superior person and player to everyone else he/she felt the need to have the rules changed. \*\*H \*\* didn’t care that the fun of the game was over. **H** didn’t care that he/she was the only one who felt this way. Sadly, **Z** finally came with the keys and locked up the game since no one was playing anymore. **H** walked away, feeling superior to the poker players who just didn’t “get it” (they didn’t “get it” 'cause she was much, much, much, much (intimidatingly so) smarter than all the other players) wish it were The End ---

For example, if I were a typically irrascible sort, no matter what I’d listen to anything **WhyNot** said and give it very deep introspection. Since I’m not and simply feel that everyone is better able to cope with life than I am, I’ll even listen to someone I’ve been sideways to, like my previous mention of **mssmith**. _I_ did need to grow a thicker skin about my soapbox du jour. Just because I have mental issues (and lots of them), doesn’t mean I’m an authority, nor that how I view anything related is the be-all, end-all answer or that I’m the leading expert in my Field of Nuttiness. So in other words, I think it’s very wise to consider all the imput you can have around you and the source doesn’t matter if it makes you more of the person you wish to be. And for me, I wanna be **WhyNot** in a torrid love affair with Kevin Bacon. ---

People don’t like you because you “tell it like it is” and “don’t suffer fools gladly” and “stand up for the underdog.” In other words, because you’re a good person and they’re just jealous. The speed and ease with which you produce these self-promotional reasons why strangers would dislike you without cause speaks of long practice. But I don’t know you, and could easily have you pegged completely wrong. You might just be someone with a very high opinion of herself who can’t be bothered to relate to people in a likable way. As I said to **Jodi** , it doesn’t really matter – either way, all we have to go on is what you write now. ---

I can’t believe I’m late for this. I really should visit the pit more often. I actually thought I was the only one who disliked QG. It’s happened before, I’ll find someone extremely annoying, only to find out they’re considered a goddess/god by everyone else. ---

When I first saw the username the mental picture I got was a little old lady wrapped in a shawl. After a while the posts completed the picture of a prissy old maid. Now I just picture Dana Carvey’s “Church Lady” doing her little dance of superiority. I’m glad to find that it’s not just me. On the other hand, there’s too much of value here to waste this much time on her. ---
