We had some unexpected savings last night. Went to the Big Orange Place That Sells Home Improvement Stuff and loaded up the cart with about seven different projects’ worth of stuff. The cashier rings it all up and as we’re leaving the parking lot, we realize that the cashier didn’t see Bob. They missed something on the Bottom Of the Basket. From there, we go to a well-known national chain that serves steak. As we’re browing the menu, DH feels a tickle. Then he sees the source of the tickle. **Gokiburi!** He swats it with the menu just as our server was about to take our order. He calmly asks the server if bugs are normally on the menu and offers the menu to the server, who quickly folds it up and excuses himself. The manager quickly appears, apologizing profusely about how they have been coming in on that side of the building after the recent rain and says they’ll take care of us. Take care of us indeed - they comped our dinner down to the last ice cube. I guess the moral of the story is if a cockroach walks across you at a restaurant, don’t make a huge panic and your discretion will be rewarded. Just remember to tip your server on what your dinner would have cost. 🙂 ---

Way cool **gotti**. Ok, the roach was ick but gettin’ dindin comped is 🆒. Make sure y’all but BOB to good use. And now from the tryin’ to pull a fast one on da bear but it never works collection… I have my ways of findin’ out if somebody is workin’ at a regular job while also receivin’ trainin’ which is biiiiiiig time fraud. If I suspect I can request wage reports from the USDOL for anybody on the program. Heck, I could do that on anybody at anytime if I so choose but I reserve that superpower only when I suspect sump’n’s up. So today I have and as I suspected, yep, fool, here’s a wage report from an employer. This means I can send a verification of employment request. Yep, employer verified. Fraud Unit notified. Thou shalt receive a very unpleasant notification of fraud investigation in a few days. HAH! Don’t mess with da bear. So how’s y’all’s day goin’? ---

I really need people at work to stop saying things that can be interpreted wrong. That or I need to find a job where if I respond with ‘that’s what she said’ all the time, I won’t get fired. (Today, in the lunchroom I heard ‘it’s difficult to line up with the hole’ and then near my desk ‘shaft size?’) ---

Day two is done, and I stopped just short of telling cube neighbor to STFU. He had to show me how to load Bills of Materials into an Excel format, then save in the vault. Not difficult, but many steps. After he ran me thru it, I got him to do it again slowly so I could make notes. That went fine till we got to the end. For some stoopit reason, he decided to show me all the cool things the Excel spreadsheet could do. :rolleyes: Yep, it could multiply. :rolleyes: When he paused to take a breath, I just said - Yeah, I don’t need to know this - what’s the next step? According to **FCD** , this guy needs to let everyone know how smart he is. Whatever. As I was leaving, the head of IT was installing the thingie that’ll allow me to use 2 screens, so yay! I replaced her as company n00b - she started a whole week before I did! 😃 I asked her about getting speakers for my 'puter - I can’t hardly hear it under my desk and I can’t do the tutorial if I can’t hear it. Microwave is beeping - gotta get back to making supper. Happy Monday and welcome to all! ---

**Mom** , two screens is enormously helpful sometimes. The only annoyance I have, is that you can’t put one sheet for Excel on one screen and another on the other very easily. (You have to expand Excel so it covers both screens and then use it’s thingy to see both). Starting using a program I downloaded to write blog entries offline. It works exactly like I wanted it to. How rare is that? ---

I had my steroid injection. The guy said they can’t put them in the lumbar area because there are too many nerves, but it might help.
