You got a MacBook Pro for $139?
I took Ursala Kitteh for a nail trim. She was not happy and used her carrier as a litter box. I’m having Tater Tots for dinner. She ate her kibble and is resting from the trauma of it all.
Tofu Ice cream?? No way in hell.
I had a customer leave me a tip of $50 with no way to decline it. It was in an envelope on my desk. I can’t take money at all. I decided to buy everyone pizza with it for lunch. That is as close as I knew how to get to an acceptable way to use it. And this customer probably knew better.
Since I had so much pizza I didn’t want any supper. Just playing around on the internet for a few then hopefully sleep.
Happy New Week all!
N.O.T.s?
LOL. No. $139 for a refurbished Win10 box.
I, appropriately, read that in a Foghorn Leghorn voice. ![]()
Potatoes. (aka - Not Our Taters). See the MMP FAQ.
IOW, you got a real computer instead of an overpriced doorstop. ![]()
The boy is indeed about as sharp as a sack full of we mice.
Hey! the last one was state of the art. in 2007.:dubious:
Well we are back to even at irk; it was brutal but we got there. The manager mostly responsible for getting us behind the 8-ball came in and went home. Rumors that he may be sent off to the farm to frolic with the other puppies abounded.
I guess I should explain that one huh? Several years ago a couple managers got canned; one we liked and one we didn’t hate. It was announced at our all-hands meeting as “Bob and Ernie have decided to explore some good options they had outside of Da Jungle”.
I was sitting with couple friends and said “Yeah – and our dog Ranger went off to a farm to frolic with the other puppies. Even when I was 4 I knew what dead was.” All my coworkers just seemed to love the comment and going to the puppy farm has become our phrase for fired.
Other than that; I really think I will need to run Bessie around somewhat for Cow Appreciation Day. For those new to the MMP and just reading through, this is me and Bessie

As the worlds only Holstein-Davidson I figure its required. ![]()
Roxy started screaming at 11:30-ish. Screaming, not crying. It went on for 2 anna half hours. Daughter is trying to teach her to self-soothe and fall back to sleep, but Roxy is a stubborn little thing - she wants to be held till she falls asleep. Anyway, even when she was finally quiet, I was wide awake, and I couldn’t fall back to sleep. I don’t function well on 2 hours sleep…
Other than that, Happy Tuesday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 76 Amurrkin out and clear (I see daylight!) with a predicted high of 95 and a fifty percent chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. Today I shall launder and not much else. Sup shall be leftovers from yestiddy cause they need to be et up and we don’t mind leftovers.
Talked with the a/c folks yestiddy over to the church house. There is a leak in a coil. They were able to recharge it and hopefully ‘twill be OK until a decision is made as to what to do. There are two options. One is to replace that coil and the other is to replace the entire unit which is approachin’ thirteen years old. I asked for quotes on both as this is stuff that must be presented to the Vestry. I have a feelin’ replacement of the unit will be the best option due to its age. I’m tellin’ y’all this because, well, I don’t know, why, but just am.
I am appreciative of cows cause they give us milk, cream, cheese, and yummy beef. However, I despise Ick Fil A.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, onward into the day. Rah.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
**swampy **- I imagine you’re right about unit replacement. I’ve been told by HVAC folk that anything over 10 years is a gift. Our unit at home is also 13 years old, but we’ve had it serviced every year, and except for a couple of capacitors blowing, it’s been doing fine. Fingers crossed…
By 'ead is all stuffy. Had an itty-bitty beginning of migraine, staved it off but I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out I’ve caught a cold or something.
Happy Toosday!
It’s 66 degrees outside, so the windows are open and I am getting ready to head outside to do… something.
After irk we will go pick up groceries.
Then we can see if we can get the couch out to the front porch. I think that will be easier than getting it to the back porch. Although the back porch to the truck will be easier than the front porch to the truck.
We’ll figure it out.
I am really tired though. I usually get off irk at 11 pm but it has been really busy and as long as I have people in my queue I will stay online. Too many night of irking until 12 or 1 am and it is catching up to me.
I’m rather afraid I’d just pick up the baby and hold her until she sleeps. Then again, I let my son sleep with me until he was old enough to want his own bed.
Swampy I thought I was the only person in the world who doesn’t like Ick Fil A. Never understood all the love. Some people think I don’t like them because I’m not religious, but no, I just don’t like the chicken. Fries are good though, as is the service.
**sari **- are the people in your queue in a western time zone or do you deal with insomniacs??
Count me as another who doesn’t understand the love of the chicken place. The few times I ate there, I found it mediocre at best. I feel the same way about Five Guys - the burgers are OK, I guess, but certainly not worth the price they charge.
Now quit interrupting me - I have work to do!!!
Been awake and generally adulting. The weather looks really good throughout the region so I think I may leave shortly and blow the stink off for a few hours.
Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off today. Going to the laundromat.
FCM the company is international, we get calls from all over the world.
I got the branches picked up out back, the ones I cut down a while back. Trimmed two of the bushes out front, except I need to take out the lops for the thicker branches. I do a horrible job of trimming them back, but at least they don’t look so shaggy now. My son used the weed whacker on the other one and it looks a whole better than the one I trimmed. I don’t like them anyway but they came with the house. I could cut down the ones in front of my house. The neighbor planted the ones in the little center plot between us and she would not be happy if I cut them down. Usually she keeps them trimmed but she is older now, and never home anyway. I forgot to throw the paper up by her door, dammit. I usually do that if I go out front and see it on the sidewalk.
Got a little more (very little) weeding done. I sweat broad leaf plantain is related to the hydra. It’s choking out my wild flowers, and that does not make me happy.
It’s already in the 70s and muggy out.
Got a new ache/pain to bitch about. my left shoulder is killing me. I have not done a thing to cause this. It is raining and looks like we are socked in. This is a good thing.
I have to go meet a potential new dive vendor but that is really the extent of my traveling around. I have been to the bank already.
blurf Mooommmm it is hard dealing with a baby that won’t sleep. Here’s
hoping she gets it soon.
Folks, seems to me that we have an older model Mumper that [del]is retired[/del] doesn’t work (& may be a bit leaky, too :o); should we repair it or just replace it due to it’s age?
That’s cold, man.
