Actually it’s not all that close yet and will almost definitely go someplace besides where everyone (now) thinks it will go. But it’s not too early to start getting ready just in case. ---

It’s also my birthday this weekend. We were planning on going to the Gaylord Palms for their Florida festival. I got free tickets because I donated blood, and this weekend is the last weekend. ☹ ---

I think we’re screwed even if it wobbles, **ivylass**. The forecaster I listened to this morning said it will have tropical storm strength winds for 200 miles in either direction. I’m numerically challenged but I can do the math. ☹ I’m praying for it to do a 180. The damn thing is that even if it doesn’t come close, it’s gonna make things a mess here anyway. People are already wiping out the stores buying their hurricane supplies. Sorry about your birthday weekend. At least I get to have mine in a coupla days. What a crappy present. ☹ ---

_sigh_ Here we go again… Things are heating up around here - I’ll tell you folks, hurricane season is not a good time to work at a hotel. At this time, looks like Frances is going to skirt [half the Florida coast](http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics/AT06/refresh/AL0604W5+GIF/300858W5.gif) - if it follows that track (a big if, I know) Ocala will get sideswiped. And it’s my birthday this weekend too, drat it. I’ll probably have to work overtime. ---

Yeah, we’re into “disaster preparedness” mode here, again. So I’m preparing to have backups and media sent to our secure off-site storage.
