I wonder how much he’s getting paid for a few hours worth of work … in lynchs movie the emperor was in what maybe the last 45 minutes of the movie ?

FYI, the Walken news had been discussed in another [Dune thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/dune-film-post-release-thread-open-spoilers-from-film/952991/480) as well as Florence Pugh. The Lea Seydoux casting was recently announced, I think.

He had an important scene early in the movie with the guild navigator as well.

Which was made up by Lynch, the emperor doesn’t show up in the book until the final 50 pages.

Of course, if they wanted to follow the book, they’d have hired someone like **Tom Hiddleston** to play the emperor.
