Sure enough, when I stuck my phone number in, Google said I lived at 11 E. Illinois St., Chicago, IL 60611. That’s pretty neat. ---

It works only if your phone is listed. There are many phone number search engines out there. ---

Great…now things have become more clear to me. My number used to belong to someone of Unitarian Universalists…that’s where all these calls on my voicemail are stemming from. A couple a times a week I’ll get messages by total (Non-telemarketeer) strangers… Have no clue how to fix that though… ---

On a more disturbing note, I just found out that someone can find my address by just knowing my name and the county I live in. However, this will only work for people who own their house. ---

The neat thing is that if I put my work number into Google, I get the name and address of the jackass who put his info into Yahoo! and got his phone number wrong, and put my work number in instead. That goes a long way towards explaining why I keep getting telemarketing calls at work. ---

it doesn’ t just work wtih your phone number…the other day,i was curious about an old friend i’ve lost touch with, typed his first name & last name and state in …and it showed me exactly where his house is… ---
