Noah (ding).

It was funny but most of us were out being holy or sunning ourselves. Except **Butters** who may have been doing one of the two combined with a Seminole rain dance.

> I’m with **doggio** on this, **flytrap**. It wasn’t that funny.

Sorry – I will stand by **Plant** that it was fairly funny. But in the interest of full disclosure I must admit to being more a follower of the Petrine tradition.
So about 20 pounds of pork loins are smoked and cooling for freezing and around 4 pounds of chops are already frozen for future use. We hit a deal at Sams that was basically $1.53 the pound. And leaves me enough freezer space to wander the wooded forests, communing with nature, and hugging a tree - to steady my aim while I blow the head off one non-domesticated creature or another. Grouse is sounding real good for some reason.

Sah-son has a paper due at 10pm and he has no idea how long it has to be. It’s considered to be a minor paper, only worth 10 points, but we have no idea what that means and it’s kind of late to ask.
The syllabus he got is nothing like the ones I got in college. The ones I got listed all assignments with their due dates and how many points each was worth. Then there was a chart showing how many points you needed to for each grade.
You knew what topic as going to be discussed each week and if you wanted you could get ahead in the work.
Neither of his classes list due dates in the syllabus. You have to click on a calendar. It seems very chaotic to me.

If it were me and a 10 point assignment doesn’t count for much I’d not knock myself out over it. Of course you worry that the first paper sets the tone, then again the grading of the first paper gives you an idea of what is expected. He is a perfectionist though, except when it comes to mowing the lawn.

and I get on him for over thinking things - he gets it honest.

Worked, came home. I’m off tomorrow.

> We eat the fresh stuff first then onto the canned and frozen. I’ll keep frozen meat longer than a month.
> Besides I’m not too domestic anymore. I used to cook full meals every night but not anymore. I’m just as happy to open a can of soup and call it dinner.
> Maybe I should get back into cooking.
>
> I got out of it when I was living at my mother’s and one night as we were eating dinner she started giving me a bunch of shit about how I never did anything. I said ‘I cooked the dinner you are eating’ and she said ‘BIG DEAL, so you peeled a few potatoes and put some chicken in the oven, you call that cooking?’
> I figured since it wasn’t a big deal then she could do her own damn cooking and that the last time I ever cooked a family meal in her house.
>
> What made it so funny though was the next night she made lasagna. Which means she took a box out of the freezer (but in all fairness she did go to the store to get it), took the aluminum tray out, peeled off the top and put it in the oven.
> From the way she went on and on about the lasagna you would have thought she milked her own cows/goats for the cheese, ground her own wheat into flour for the noodles, and harvested her own tomatoes for the sauce. Even my niece turned to me and whispered ‘does she want a medal or something?’
>
> Such is my mother, drama is her name.
>
> My son’s father was a lot the same. He used to sit and eat the dinner I cooked and bitch at me that I was lazy.
> I used to cook his breakfast every morning and wake him to serve it to him in bed, as well as pack his lunch. Packing his lunch meant two different sandwiches, with no overlap. If one had ham the other had to have roast beef, two different cheeses, two different breads, two different fruits and two different drinks. Had to be mixed up from the day before as well.
> One morning he started giving me a bunch of shit and I said well I cook your breakfast every morning, and pack your lunch too. He said BIG DEAL, so it takes you 3 minutes to scramble some eggs and 5 minutes to pack my lunch. Of course that leaves out that I did all the shopping and clean up too. All while taking care of a baby.
> I said you’re right, it’s not a big deal. So I’ll start waking you up 10 minutes earlier and you can take 3 minutes to scramble your own eggs, and 5 minutes to pack your own lunch and the 2 extra minutes leaves you just enough time to go fuck yourself.
>
> And people wonder why I am such a bitch.

Considering neither one is six feet under, you show remarkable restraint and patience. 😃
