Everything that honors the confederacy needs to be erased. That includes the names of Fort Bragg, Fort Benning, and every other base named for traitor scum. ---

I’m not in favor of erasing history, but I am in favor of putting it in museums instead of in places of honor such as town squares or public parks. Museums–at least the reputable ones–do a good job of putting things in perspective. ---

The North pardoned almost all those same traitors and then let them return to power through coercion and terrorism. The why is complicated. Racism. Misguided haste for reunion. But the end result was to downplay the whole treason thing, emphasize unity, and return confederates to power in the South where they proceeded to glorify the confederacy for many decades after. Obviously, lots of them still do. ---

Someone posted somewhere else that if it was a protest about heritage where were the museum curators and historians ? this “demonstration” was never about historical preservation… or not of the scholastic type anyways ---
