i for one defend mac bolan’s right not to use the shift key. but i’ve been a fan of all lower case since i was a kid. archy and mehitabel, some of e. e. cummings’s stuff, and odd things like the liner notes to _only visiting this planet_, wherein iirc only the word ‘Jesus’ was capitalized. at least he isn’t constantly posting in [COLOR=“DarkRed”]arbitrary colors.[/COLOR] ---

I am ashamed to admit that I have defended this behavior…and probably in a thread about him. I’m so used to auto correct that I still have problems with the shift key, and there are lots of forums that don’t notice. I’m getting better about using it. My spelling still sucks. I’m working on that as well. ---

I’ve noticed a newer, more annoying trend here. It’s when people don’t use apostrophes. I don’t see it a whole lot, but it makes me wonder why they’ve stopped only more recently I know the excuse for some is using their phones to post, but whenever I do that, mine auto-corrects. So I’m don’t think that’s it. Somewhere else I read (on a cell phone entertainment app), the most annoying thing I’ve ever seen is folks who use no punctuation at all. Therefore one sentence (that should be many) will look like this… kim kardashian is such a slut i dont know why anyone likes her all shes famous for is a sex tape shes also got a fat a$$ everyone should be a hater say no to the k clan Oh my God. I try not to be a prude about the lack of capitalization (or a grammar nazi in general) so I’ll start reading. Then it takes you a ways in before you realize there’s many statements involved versus the one it appears to be. And it’s not just one person that does this, but several. Plus, don’t get me started about the the rampant misspellings, shortened words (like leet speak or gangster wannabe-ness) or simple conversational cluelessness. Thank God that’s not here. Also, where have all the question marks at the end of questions gone? /get off my lawn ---
