Over in the [Hi, I’m Esprix, an attention-hungry whore](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=128207), **TwistofFate** referred to the OP, **Kang and Kodos** as **K+K**. As one who occasionally gets referred to variously as **KtK** , **KTK** , and even (shudder) **K2K** , I’d like to respectfully request care be taken when abbreviating user names. To tell the truth, if I had my druthers, my user name would only ever be shortened to **Knead** by other dopers, simply because I can’t ego-surf for any of the **K?K** variations. But that, alas, is not something I can control. It’s not that bad, really. Even **K2K** is preferable to **hey, asshole**. 😉 Anyway, thanks! ---

How do you suggest one “takes care”? I think a more productive way to go about it is for people to say what they prefer to be called. How about you first? ---

I’ve noticed some people have problems when they address me. They call me **Syzyzyz…** , or **Syzywhatever** , or some other terribly clever thing. My name is _six_ letters long, and is an actual English word. Would it kill you to type it correctly? Thanks so much. ---

You know what? I’ve been abbreviated as **MM** , **Max** , **Mighty M** , **Maximino** , and just plain **Mighty** , and I don’t give a damn. In fact, it makes me feel pretty good that someone read my post, and since I’m not active enough for anyone to Pit me, and no one’s calling on my specialized expertese anywhere else, I guess it doesn’t really matter. Although, I’ve got to admit that **M[sup]2[/sup]** would be pretty cool. ---

I think **Eve** pointed out once that it was probably a mistake to shout “Uke Ike!” across a crowded New York City barroom during Dopefests. I usually get shortened to “Ike,” because no one ever notices my sig. ---

I’ve been addressed as both **Dirty** and **Earthworm** , when in actuality I prefer to be known as **“Bootylicious” Billy Bajonga.** Actually, I will probably never be called this, and I will be the only one who finds it humorous in any way. BWAHAHAHAHA! 😉 -Dirty ---

You know “Bootylicious” Billy Bajonga in the pit thread about the woman the airplain and the vibrator I replied to you about JinWicked. I shortened your name in that thead to just Dirty and you know that split second after you hit reply and you panic a bit because you are worried you said something not right? I was worried that I had shortened your name wrong and you were going to get upset.
