So do you think the last 8 years have been good? Why don’t you wait to see what the next 2 look like at least before you judge. I thought Clinton was going to be a disaster but it turned out to only be an embarrassment but overall a fairly good 8 year run. Bush/Cheney has been a disaster on almost every front. ---

Great, another Obashing thread. Yes, if you believe the media, Obama’s administration may appear to be a total disaster. The man is so unpopular that even his most ardent supporters are reluctant to defend his Presidential record so far. But we really don’t have the historical perspective to judge his true success or failure yet. Remember, Truman was once a less popular President than Obama is today. ---

So . . . 'hump, as far as I can tell, you’re pitting Cecil because he fails to come up with a black-and-white answer that will suddenly solve all the complex debate on one of the greatest debates–if not the greatest debate–in the history of human existence. Instead, his answer manages, at the same time it’s a pretty comprehensive overview of the entire debate, acknowledges the essential, well, debatability–the eternal debatability–of the, uh, debate. Sorry he couldn’t give you a box to check and be done with. What do you want for nothin, Solomon? ---

No. I pitted him for making a stupid, snarky remark about the sitting President of the United States. Bush does not deserve the bullshit being slung about him. He hasn’t been a great President, but he sure as hell has been a better President than what’s said about him. And if Cecil is really the smartest person in the world, he should have known better than to be that rude. And so should the rest of you. I posted what I did on purpose to see what the reaction would be. Same thing that Cecil said, I just turned it around and made it about Obama. And naturally, I got bitched out about it, but nobody sees anything wrong with his comment about Bush. ---
