It’s the largest aquatic insect in the world: [Article and pic](http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/running-ponies/2014/07/22/largest-aquatic-insect-in-the-world-found-in-china/) At first I couldn’t make sense of that object to its right because of the scale. Then I read the caption - _that’s a chicken egg!_ ---

It’s just a giant dobsonfly. I’d love to see the size of the hellgramite that came from, though. ---
