Hey **Sticks and Scones** , **Alice** , (I’ve always wondered if those gold flakes would show up on an X-Ray:)) **Rhiannon** , **Suburban Plankton** , **LedZepkid** and **PapSett** (see you on FB when you get time!).
Thanks for all the good wishes, I wish I could have a drink with y’all, but doc says no more with all the anti-depressives and other meds, so I’ll have to stay sober. Don’t know what I’ll do on the 31st, though. I’ve always had some alcohol on that day. My late Dad’s birthday was on the 26th of December and mine 5 days later and we’d both get together for a drum battle. I’ve since carried on the tradition, but to tell the truth, waking up the next day with a normal sized head is preferable for sure! 🙂

**ITD** , I am soooo jealous! We had plans to go to the premiere at one of the IMAX’s and didn’t get to go, so we’ll go sometime after New Year’s, I reckon. I’ve been trying to keep up with the thread here about the movie, and reading it, I can’t wait to see it myself. I still help folks with the dementia problems, mostly just make sure they get in touch with a good counsellor and help them know there’s help and they’re not alone. Other than that, I ride my bike off and on, go to the gym every now and then and that’s about it! Hope you and yours have a great holiday.

Remember when I posted back a few months ago that I was going to have upper eye lid corrective surgery?
Well, I had it and what you’ll see if you’re brave enough to click the link below, is me right AFTER the surgery, with the sutures still in, both my eyes looking like I’d been in a bad bar fight, and my hair wet from just having taken a very careful shower.
I thought it looked pretty Zombie-like. Don’t y’all?

Hah, very Frankenstein’s monster-ish, too. You had that for loss of visual field due to drooping lids, right? Did that help out? I’ve seen a number of patients in our department who have benefited from it.
Glad you’re still enjoying WoW; my husband ( **Shoujin** here on the board) is still playing and having fun. I spent most of today puttering around the kitchen (including bottling a batch of homemade beer) or playing on the computer. Still have 2 gifts to wrap but they’re for people we’re seeing next weekend, and then tomorrow I have a batch of gratin potatoes and a batch of brussels sprouts and carrots to make for dinner at a sister-in-law’s house.

Speaking of jokes, I have an Amish joke for y’all. I hope I can tell it right…
An Amish lady was on her way to town in that little horse and wagon they have, and she got pulled over by a police officer who informed her that that little triangle on the back was about to fall off.
She told him thank you and that she’d have it fixed as soon as possible.
Then he said, “Ma’am I notice you have the reins stretched across your horse’s back and then looped around his testicles. We consider that animal abuse and you’ll need to stop doing that.”
She assured him she would and went on her way.
When she got home, her husband asked her how her trip to town went and she told him about that triangle almost falling off.
“Well”, he said. “I can fix that in 2 minutes. He say anything else?”
“I don’t remember… something about the emergency brake”, she said.
