I was going to add something similar, so I will… Syrian refugees are being admitted to the UK under the Vulnerable Person Relocation scheme: “The vulnerable person relocation scheme was designed to give priority to those who are victims of sexual violence or torture or are too elderly or disabled to live in the camps.” I’ve also seen a government official quoted as saying specifically that families will be taken first. ---

After all, families, elderly, children, women, and sexual minorities ARE known to be the groups most affected by displacement/refugee camps/war. In cases of triage, it make sense getting those groups out of harm’s way. And again, there are plenty of men in those groups. Heck, many families have more males than females. I also wish to see what is the definition of family they use, and if they include age limits/restrictions. ---

Refugees fleeing war has been a force for positive change in most cases. The troubles were caused by things like registering certain minorities, putting people of certain backgrounds in camps in case they caused trouble and other things that your politicians seem to also have forgotten. ---
