I invented red clay mud dyed clothing. Years of kids swimming in a pond in all manner of clothing. Not just swimsuits. Mostly cut-offs, t-shirts with underclothing still on. All whites turned a lovely color I named ‘Mudclay blush’ I was waiting on big manufacturers to come calling wanting my rights and paying me the Big Buxx$$$. Yeah, I’d be rolling in the dough. Well, I waited too long. I was watching ‘Dirty Jobs’ some yahoo in Hawaii stole my idea. He’s dying t-shirts with red volcanic dirt. The jerk. Granted Hawaiian volcanic red dirt is way cooler than Arkansas red clay mud. Still. I thought of it first. I just know it. I should get a stipend or something. Yeah I’m writing a strongly worded E-mail. Maybe get Lawyer Licky-lips on it. This always happens to me. Everytime. Dang-it. ---

I used to have one of those Hawaii “dirt shirts,” which I bought when we went on vacation there a decade or so ago. Does the Arkansas version have a possum on it? ---

I have red clay shoes, and red clay trim on the bottom of my white jeans courtesy of Road Atlanta mud. But I never thought about trying to sell them beyond the racing audience. ---
