I started a new thread since the old one was sooooo long.

Now, for some personal thoughts. As we all know this was a commonly asked question.

At the time when this aired (late 70s), however, I remember a female contestant (while the husbands were backstage) repeatedly saying what looked to me like “ass.” That is, she didn’t say it just once. Of course, you couldn’t hear it, only a “CUCKOO, CUCKOO.”

I don’t, however, remember the question. And, at the time, I didn’t know what “making whoopee” meant. It was not a term that I had ever heard. I thought it was slang for “going to the bathroom,” so it wouldn’t have registered much of an impact to me.

But, here is a lead at least.
