What is his real last name-meaning born w/it. Brothers Al, Steve changed theirs too. Which Faifax High classmate of Alpert is charged w/ murder? Phil Spector. ---

No,asking about the guy w/brothers Al & Steve not, brothers Matty & Jesus. Not a Spanish expert, but I think mother’s maiden name goes last in Spanish countries & father’s in the middle. Then in US, the mother’s name is dropped. I may have that reversed,however. Re: Alou, for sure the name is not close to ah-loo in spanish. ---

My understanding of the construction of a Spanish name is: First name Middles name(s) Father’s last name Mother’s last name And that even though the mother’s name ends the sequence, the legal last name is the father’s last name. Have I been misunderstanding this for all these years? ---

This Year’s Model: You are correct. Of course, most Americanized Mexicans drop the mom’s last name, and use their father’s name exclusively, or use the mom’s name as a middle name. (At least here in Houston) ~J ---
