A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. Such fact-supported theories are not “guesses” but reliable accounts of the real world. The theory of biological evolution is more than “just a theory.” It is as factual an explanation of the universe as the atomic theory of matter or the germ theory of disease. There are a lot of ass holes in this thread. I guess I’m not surprised… Anyway, I was a good friend of Opalcat IRL, and she does not deserve this negativity. Most of it is bullshit, but I take exception to some things said by someone here about how she bugged him about meeting up for dinner, but always had an excuse, then she moved and died “shortly thereafter.” I’m on mobile, otherwise I would quote. Anyway, dude, you have your facts and timeline so wrong and I don’t appreciate your negative impression if her. I can elaborate later when I get to a computer. Opal was an extremely intelligent and beautiful person, and was starting a great new life when she passed way too soon. ---

Not to speak ill of the dead but I was under the impression she was dating some heroin addict. Didn’t sound like such a beautiful life and the way it ended enforces that impression. ---
