If it is any consolation, I think Opal would have loved the white knighting, the righteous indignation, the insults, the backbiting and, most of all, the manufactured drama that this thread in her name has elicited. ---

Never knew her in RL. Had an unfortunate and clumsy interaction with her on this board, one I regret. But AFAIK, she was pretty into open expression, and if Monty’s original comment crossed a line, I don’t think it was one that would have bent the deceased too much out of shape. I personally have no desire to learn additional details, but nor do I think the allegations are especially damning, at least in this context.
