A few minutes ago, I [started a new thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=54464). After submitting the thread, I got a time-out error before it could be viewed.
I back-clicked to the main GQ index to see if it was there, and sure enough it was, with 0 replies and 0 views.
Cool. 🆒
This isn’t a question, but I just wanted to point this out for posterity. I took a [screenshot](http://chanceofrain.com/pix/0views.gif) (it’s the third thread in the index) to answer a potential SDMB trivia question some day.
(Maybe this should be in MPSIMS? I put it here because it’s technically ATMB.)

Well, since this seems to be so exciting for you, you’ll be happy to know that you can do that _every single time you start a new thread_ **without having to timeout!!** Yes, it is absolutely true. Under the part where it thanks you for posting (You’re so welcome, SDMB!), it says “Click here if you do not want to wait any longer (or if your browser does not automatically forward you)”. If you click that when you start a thread, it will bring you back to the forum page without adding a view! Yeah, I knew you’d be happy.

Yeah, they’re green. Out of context, I notice how bugly (butt-ugly) they look. But, against my wallpaper, it blends in better.
And, they’re not Green Windows, but Power Windows. 😃
