As someone who is more conservative, I’m not an Obama voter. But I must say I’ve been mightily impressed with his ability to handle \*most \*of the stuff that comes his way. Now here’s a little advice for you Golden Boy, if you don’t want your wife to become an issue in your campaign, keep her off the stage and tell her to keep her ugly yap shut. Granted this might be difficult, as she is as drawn to the spotlight as a mosquito. But don’t don’t be surprised when you hear ZZZAP! ---

I love Obama, and his wife. But I agree that fair criticism of Michelle is fair game. She speaks at rallies during the campaign. He’s just trying to get public opinion on his side to blunt these attacks. I’d prefer he didn’t bother. ---

Maybe the pubbies should bring up an issue that is relevant to the way Obama would run the office, like his choice of lapel pin. ---

We will have to see what happens. Has there been any discussions/attacks that provoked this? So we can have a bit of context or was this just a initial shot across the bow so to speak. ---

If someone can be “smeared” by just using their very own words against them, are those words magically off limits? Why? And if you’re answer is that she explained herself afterwards, I find her explanation as believable as Obama’s claim that he never heard such incendiary remarks from his spiritual mentor over 20 years. And, IMO, going after her will not hurt the republicans in the least. It appears she’s been on a shorter leash lately. I think the campaign realizes that outside the Obama lovers, she’s a negative. I personally think she detracts from his appeal greatly. For me, anyway. The actual mistakes the republicans have made are much larger than this. ---

He uses the language of a threat to stop them from saying shit when he can’t do shit about it. Why? Because it’s protected speech. From what I’ve seen of Michelle Obama, I wouldn’t assume that Barack was implying that _he_ was the one they need to be wary of. 🆒 Seriously, is this the worst thing you can say about BHO – that he sticks up for his wife? I have to say that the only people who’ll get really pissed off about this are people that aren’t going to matter when it comes to putting Obama into the White House. It’s a minor point to say the least. Actually I’d imagine McCain would/will do the same when his missus starts getting attacked. Hasn’t that started BTW to some degree? Stock sales and no tax returns etc. ---
