I’m worried a hug would be read wrong. A firm handshake, a look-in-the-eye Thank You, and the cold refill of the drink of your choice to our Amazing Canadian Neighbors!!! The majestic green, the angelic white… and you make it ALL EXIST… just from… [water](https://youtu.be/J1e8XK7fzko?t=9)… (…Damn, we SO need a block-party…) ---

Thanks for the OP, **NP**! I love Canada, I really do. My eldest daughter **elfbabe** has Canadian citizenship now and lives there with her Canadian husband, so we’re frequent border crossers. ---

I would also like to thank the Canadians for thinking of us during this trying time. In return, we should reassure our good neighbors north of the border that despite the nefarious activities of Monsatan - no, putting a catfish gene into a tomato plant [will not make their tomatoes taste fishy.](https://www.geneticliteracyproject.org/2016/10/10/78-canadians-think-tomatoes-modified-catfish-gene-taste-fishy/) ---

When Robin Williams passed recently, a lot of his quips were shared online. One of them described Canada as “a really nice apartment over a meth lab.” ---

I was going to post about this video that I just heard about today (on CBC Radio while driving) but I see that **Northern Piper** beat me to it. It’s actually not the first such tribute that has come from Canada and it won’t be the last. > [@Broomstick](#): > > The Canadians are better neighbors than any country deserves and I’m both happy and proud to share a border with you. That’s a really lovely comment, thank you, and as a Canadian, I feel just the same way. 🙂 Meanwhile I have family who are dual Canadian-US citizens and are really confused about how they’re supposed to feel – “we love us both” sounds like a narcissist with multiple personality disorder, but hey, that’s how closely linked we are! 😃 ---
