I love Good Eats! I’m a coking-loving-person and a science nerd (sorta) and I love seeing how things are done. I always learn something useless from Alton Brown. So far today I haven’t eaten. **Mama Bean** and **Papa Bean** are off helping **Auntie Bean** with something-or-other. They’ll make me eat when they get home… should I make something good and risk it getting cold (because I don’t know when they’ll be home) or just wait and end up with something quick? I just found out that a sister-in-law of a friend of mine is on life support. She has pneumonia and a blood clot. How serious is that, exactly? I don’t have a good feeling about this one… unfortunately my feelings tend to be uncannily accurate. I hope I’m wrong this time. ☹ I don’t know the woman… just her sister in law. but she’s really upset about it. ---

Hi y’all, back again. I just realized that I have two goat stories. I’ll tell one, but the other is too ookie. Some people who used to live next door were drug dealers. (Self professed, “Hey did you see us on T.V. last night? We got busted at the Motel 6!”) I was in the backyard one afternoon, and the backdoor of the house next door opened and I thought, “Hmmm they’re letting their dog out.” Nope, it was a goat. In the house. I don’t know what goats have to do with drug dealers, I just thought it was funny. ---

I have no skirt of which to alert you, darn. Can pants be allowed into the skirt alert? My jeans reveal a good three inches of tummy, belly button included. Do not become drunk with the awesome power you will wield as a McD manager, **CD**. It’s not pretty when someone turns away from the fried side. ---

Goats in houses? Makes me want to sneeze…which has nothing to do with you, **sneezy** , really. Me, I completely missed the guy in the white house last night. I stopped watching politicians on TV somewhere in the middle of the Clinton administration. And what TV I watch now tends to be on DVD, so I miss all those interruptions. Not. I catch the news in the paper and on the radio, but I have no patience with TV news. Of course, if we harnessed the forces of the MMP, I might reconsider this attitude. **CD** , now that you’re McManagement, could you do something about the MickeyD’s in the building where I work? Slowest one **ever**. My friends and I occasionally stop in to get a drink or sundae mid-afternoon and we’ve been amazed at the amount of time it can take to collect and fill the various containers required to fulfill our order. Apparently each container is unique and deserves undivided attention and an individual trip. Also, accessories are not to be collected at the same time that one is moving one of the containers. Maybe the containers get jealous? It always feels like we’re in a time warp. I like Good Eats too, although I hardly ever see it any more since I got rid of cable. The Food Channel is pretty much the only one I miss to any degree. But I’m not going to pay $50/month to watch maybe one show. Ah, yes: Good luck on the interview, **Bobbio**. My practical advice is to give more than one-sentence answers. I did a round of interviews last year where several of the candidates gave a basic answer to the question, but didn’t elaborate, so I had nothing to tell me that their answers were actually relevant to the position I was hiring for. The worst part was that these were people I knew and that weren’t normally that restrained. I have a pink hippo from a HIPAA-related project I worked on a couple years ago… **Sean** , that’s a (what’s the word I’m looking for?) ahem…_lovely_ song you’re writing. I’m sure **MagicEyes** is… very impressed, as are we all. **Lissla** , I thought of you the other day at a friend’s house. She showed us some pics and video from her belly-dancing days about one million years ago. Very interesting. She was a teacher as well as a performer. I still have a hard time imagining what one does in a belly dance class. But, boy, does it look like you use lots of muscles! **WileE** , did you say something? And there’s still traffic, we still have a red light so no one’s going anywhere, and I’m a little 😕. But people are impatient, so I’m not too surprised. I’m still waiting to turn, and I look over at the first car in the other lane, and the driver is turned around and yelling at VIP in the second car. Then she gets out of her car, and she’s yelling at the guy behind her. I didn’t get to see what happened next, because I finally got my chance to turn (yeah, long light). I thought about waiting around, but I didn’t want to annoy the people behind me. That’s about the most exciting thing that I’ve ever seen at the mall (except for someone getting shot in the parking lot, but I wasn’t even there then). I never did get to find out if they had a fistfight in the middle of the road. People are really stoopid sometimes. ---

All my training is in ballet/jazz/tap/modern but I’ve always wanted to try culural sort of dances. (only now I aven’t danced for three months. _sniffle_ I’m going crazy. my pointe shoes are lonely.) Yesterday after lunch I took the boys up to Dayton to the Air Force museum of Flight. (Hey **Shibb** , Soupo remembered that time we went with your kid. He thought that time was fun too. And they’ve added on to the Museum. It has a whole extra hangar now plus an extra room for the rockets. Right now there are three rockets, but they have space for up to seven more. Too bad you moved and can’t go see them. They are neat.) The highlights of the trip were: \*The SR-71 Blackbird (that Soupo kept calling the “red-winged blackbird” because he’s just little and got confused) \*The hawk that was flying around the one hangar \*The big echoes Katcha made in the rocket room (echoes are extra cool when you’re only six) \*The 24 hour clock they had in the WWII air tower (it had all 24 hours around the face- not the usual 12) I liked the new rocket part. (Rockets are _big_!) They had a display of astronaut food. There was a little square of stuff in a plastic bag. It was about an inch by an inch and about 1/4 inch thick. You add water to the bag and you get… _cinnamon toast_! Technology is wonderful. I’m sure the toast you add water to make was pretty Jake too. (There was also a reconstitutable peanut butter sammich. Those astronauts were really livin’!) ---

I got my stock statement for WM yesterday, and check this out, guys! It doesn’t have my most recent payroll deduction of 75 dollars + 11.25 that they match [they match 15% of what I put in]) So I spend 150 dollars. Then match 22.50. But WM stock has gone down! So my 172.50 is only worth 168.84! But it’s OK, because I only paid 150.00 for it! See, math is awesome. **swampy** , honey, I’m sorry.
