Bought a lava lamp yesterday, and while I had a basic idea of how they worked, but was curious if wiki could be more specific on the details. Surprisingly, the first link in the “Related Articles” section was to a SD column titled “How do Lava Lamps work?”. [Wiki: Lava Lamp](Wiki: Lava Lamp) [Straight Dope: How do Lava Lamps work?](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/568/how-do-lava-lamps-work) Just thought I’d share. With our like 500k+ citations to wiki, it’s nice for them to pay us back with at least one link back here. 🙂 ---

There’s a bunch of cites there for both Cecil and the Staff Reports. There was a [recent thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=11660990) about cites to the SDMB itself on Wikipedia. ---
