Does the fact that I’ve never been scooped by a mod mean that I’m not hot? Everything’s peachy keen. The boy who moved to Florida and broke my little Swiddle heart (the one I started…um…an embarrassing three threads about…) has been good about corresponding of late, and is in town for the week. Just got off the phone with him, we’re seeing each other soonish. He called me lovely. ::sigh:: So thanks to all who told me to grow some stones. But…er…I’m being smart. No expectations. Yea. That’s the ticket. There’s other stuff, an amusing tale of falling down my stairs and bruising my tookus (bruising sounds too simple a description. Hemotoma sounds more accurate) to the point of horrifying my friends. And I’m pretty sure they weren’t horrified at the site of my tookus. New job: good. I work for a telecom company, doing a last mile migration for any of you telecom dopers. Basically, I make phone lines happen. It’s not telemarketing, and it’s not sales. Plus, I work with a bunch of geeky boys. Today on our afternoon walk, we discussed how much cooler Attack of the Clones would be if Sam Jackson was more Pulp Fictionish. Heh. There’s other dramas that have been going on, my best friend’s boyfriend has Hodgkin’s Disease and is on week 4 of chemo, so I’m fairly involved in that. But by and large, things are better today then they were a few months ago. Which is a victory. But enough about me. ---

And the fact that I if there isn’t a spell check, I have come to terms with the fact that there will be misspellings. In the words of Popeye, “I am what I am.” I’m gonna go search for that boot thread RIGHT now. Hi! I went to my first Mountain Dope. Got incredibly inebriated. Had a blast. I’ve become addicted to “I’m With Busey” on Comedy Central. Gary Busey is a fountain of incredibly psychotic statements, but I think it’s all an act. My current favorite quote is “cameras are the weapon of NOW!” 😃 Welcome back! ---

Oh yeah, there was a “What if “The Lord of the Rings” had been written by someone else?” thread; it was kinda interesting but it dropped like a stone. 100 pages, 300,000 views; hardly worth the trouble. ---

Ah, our favorite Doper with his finger perennially in the dyke appears. How’s my favorite Dutch master doin’? I don’t think you people are being mundane enough. How’s about this: I have become famous in my company because I went out and bought sea monkeys for my desk. So I’m the girl with the sea monkeys. I have learned far more about sea monkey behavior then I wanted (ie: sweet monkey-lovin’: if any is gonna be happening ON my desk, I’d like it to be me) but it’s still kinda cool. I highly encourage everyone to go out and get some desk monkeys. ---

Eh, don’t mind Coldfire. He’s just bitter because all of his favorite Tour De France riders can’t stay upright without the training wheels. Swiddles is back and everything is OK with the world. ---

Hey swiddles glad your back… My life is as crazy as normal. Had lesbians waking me up one weekend morning early wanting sperm. Quit smoking Have taken up fencing with a group of SCA people and have become quite good at it. Found a girlfriend (not one of the above lesbians) have been having a great time.
