Hey's it's that guy!

it was Robert Picardo. He also played Tim’s neighbor for a short time in Home Improvement.

We were watching the Bruce Willis Movie “Hostage”.

The three kids come on screen, and we all are like ““Hey… thats… that’s…””

and then I am like, “It’s LJ!” [from Prison Break]

Not to be outdone, my step dad immedately Identifies ““T-bag”” as soon as he comes on screen.

Carrie Anne Moss from Matrix to Memento was easy enough.

“Joey Pants” on the other hand, took me forever to realize, that it was the same guy.

Realizing that Christian Clemenson was both Socrates Poole (The Adventures of Brisco County Jr) and Abel Koontz (Veronica Mars) was the biggest moment of “Hey, it’s that guy!” in my whole life, followed closely by realizing that Penelope Wilton is Shaun’s mum in Shaun of the Dead and Harriet Jones, MP, Flydale North in Doctor Who.

(I didn’t realize that Christian Clemenson was in Buffy once- probably because I loathe the demon he played.)

Which demon was he in Buffy? I used to be a huge fan of Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.

Balthazar- the morbidly obese one that had to be kept moist the whole time. He only appeared in the episode “Bad Girls,” I think.

I caught Stripes on cable a few weeks ago, and was reminded of how damn cute the character Louise was. Then I realized that she was played by Sean Young!

I almost fell off my chair when I realized the actor playing the adult Douglas Bridge in Mr. & Mrs. Bridge was none other than Robert Seon Leonard of “House” fame!

My daughter nailed that when she was on a preview for about one second. I was so proud!

I got that one right away - the one that took me awhile was realizing that Shaun’s stepdad was Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean; Dead Man’s Chest! Even under all those tentacles, I thought he looked familiar…

I posted this in another thread, but I couldn’t believe that **Ben Foster ** (3:10 to Yuma, American History X, last week’s episode of “My Name is Earl”) is the same actor that played Eli, the special needs student in several episodes of Freaks and Geeks (the one that Lindsay decides to take to the prom, and then he ends up breaking his arm falling off the bleachers.)

Never would have known if it weren’t for IMDB.

Was watching National Lampoon’s Vacation the other day which I’ve seen a million times as a kid but not recently. And there was “Dad says I’m the best” Cousin Vicki stirring the Kool-Aid with her hand.

Hey, that’s Jane Krakowski from 30-Rock and Ally McBeal!

While watching a marathon of Coupling, I had a hard time concentrating because I was trying so hard to remember where I had seen Susan before.

(I wonder if anyone is going to know what I’m talking about here)

She played the Queen on the Red Dwarf episode, Stoke me a Clipper.

As far as Dennis Haysbert is concerned, every time I see a commercial for Allstate, all I can think of is “hats for bats”.

The only other time I remember having a Hey it’s that guy! moment was when I realized that Ethan Embry and Ethan Randall are the same person. I always wondered what happened to that annoying kid from Dutch. Now I know.

On Mama’s Family one of grandson Bubba’s reform school friends breaks out and joins the family for dinner with the minister.

I wondered where I had seen the actor before. Had to go on-line to realize it was Yeardley Smith (Greg’s secretary Marla on “Dharma & Greg” and the voice of Lisa Simpson).

I don’t remember her from that, but there are some of the newer RD episodes I’ve seen once or not at all. I did see her on a show called People Like Us, and recognized her immediately. I also saw her in Stardust, in heavy makeup, and not even a glimmer of recognition until I looked up the movie on IMDb.

Season 7, episode 2. When Lister goes into the game and uses cheats to win the jousting match so he can have sex with the queen.

Oh and that whole bit with Ace Rimmer coming back. :stuck_out_tongue:

Steve from Coupling played Commodore Norrington in the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy. I think I confused a bunch of people during the first movie by pointing and yelling, “Hey, it’s Steve!” when he showed up on screen.

Watching Live Free or Die Hard, I kept getting niggled in the back of my head. Evil Guy looked familiar, but from where…?

Finally, about two-thirds of the way into the movie, I startled everyone by yelping, “Oh my God, it’s Seth Bullock!”

(Also, I kept expecting Matt Farrell to whip out a Mac at some point, and was hugely disappointed when he didn’t.)

I’d seen Bill Nighy in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy before I saw Dead Man’s Chest or Shaun of the Dead, so to me he was always Slartibartfast- even with all the tentacles. (I was horribly excited when I found out he was going to be Davy Jones, so I knew going into the film that it was him- I’m not sure if I would have recognized him otherwise, or just said “That guy’s voice is familiar.”)

He also plays Spacker Dave, the neighbor with many facial piercings, in The Punisher, and Angel in X-Men 3. Pretty good actor. I didn’t even recognize him from one of those movies to the other.
