Howdy Y’all! Sis and I have dusted, vacuumed, and mopped. I did a load of my laundry. Go Us! The hospice nurse will be visitatin’ at some point this afternoon. It’s a scheduled visit as they come at least once a week and will at other times if called. Again, I cannot say enough good about hospice. ---

Made it to Portland. Now I wait for 2 hours for shuttle. I don’t think I will take shuttle again. I don’t like being tied to their schedule. Glad to hear that the inspection went well **Butters**. Hope you can get some rest. Looking forward to a nap. ---

Happy Thorsday! Ir’s a pretty day today. The new lawn mower is here, has been assembled, and the old one packed up to be returned. Sah-dog is doing okay. Thank y’all for your support. He’s sticking closer to me than usual. He stayed outside yesterday for about 45 minutes and that seemed to perk him up a bit. \*\*MetalMouse \*\*Sah-son does excellent work when he is motivated. He is dragging his feet on the CA paper though, he has to pick a primitive tribe and write a comparison on at least three different cultural differences between them and the US. He picked a tribe from near the Amazon, cannibals, so he has a lot to work with. He’s a bit upset with me though. He may get his first B this semester, he isn’t too confident about Cultural Anthropology and he is mad at me because I pushed him to take it. The reason I pushed though is because right now he is taking General Studies and all he has left is electives. I looked over the different courses and almost all of them require Cultural Anthropology, so I figured he may as well take it and get it over with. He needs to go talk with an adviser and choose a major. He could graduate next semester, unless he picks a major with more requirements. I’d rather he do that while he is still at the community college, it’s a lot cheaper. Then he has to pick a college to transfer to. Or go get a job somewhere because he has to do something. I’ve got tacos on the stove for him, spaghetti for me. Laundry is almost done. Furnace filter has been changed. It’s been a fairly productive morning. {{{ **Swampy** }}} ---

Holy crap on a cracker! My pay was deposited today - I expected it to be less since I worked fewer hours last week. But it was more. So I checked my pay stub. I got a raise - like more than 10%!! I’ll be bringing home more even tho I’m working less. What really stuns me - I haven’t yet had my review and no one told me this was coming. I love my company!!! We’re going out for supper tonight. And we’re off tomorrow. My plan for first thing in the morning is ditch mowage. rah. Then maybe I’ll play in my gardens for a while. It should be a great day for being outside. It’s a good day. ---

Howdy Y’all! Sis and I had a good visit with the hospice nurse this afternoon. We fully expect mom to pass sometime within the next two to three days. I know there’s no way to know exactly but this is what all the signs point toward. I also know mom is at peace and pain free. Her Pastor came by for a visit as well, which was good. Sis and I both feel we have done everything possible for mom so no regrets. This will not be easy but with the support of family and friends like all my Mumper friends we will get through this. **Butters** yay for great inspection! **MOOOOOOM** yay for more moolah! Hot dawgs and sweet N.O.T. fries for dindin. Can’t wait cause I’s hongree! ---

More hugs for the **BearFamily**. Yay for the accredation **butters**! Yay for more money **moooom**! They fed us at irk today. There was a taco bar that was quite good, with healthier options than the usual fried catfish or BBQ. Most of month end is wrapped up, so unless Mexico has a huge adjustment tomorrow, I should be able to duck out by 1:30. I’m so ready for the weekend. ---

My budget payment with the gas company was too high so I have no payment next month and a few bucks off the next. The mortgage company was charging too much escrow, so I got a refund. Not much but every little bit counts. I got my $300 in gift cards from DirecTV. They expire in October so I can’t hold on to them. ---

Unexpected raises are always nice, **FCM.** Sure it’s a raise and not some type of one-time performance bonus? **Butters,** congrats on the review, for all the work you put in getting ready you should take a day off to recuperate. Hang in there, **Nut.** Work is something that we never really know what is coming up next…just try and be sure you’re ready for anything. **Red,** enjoy the weekend. Girl’s soccer practice is completed, two shots went into the lake behind the fence (the shots went over the goal, over a 8 ft. fence, over a 20 ft hill and into the lake. Balls were recovered, but it did disrupt practice (I swear, 10-11 year old girls can be worse than dogs in terms of keeping their attention…Squirrel!!). Now the boys practice on Firday and on Sattiday I have two games to coach and two games to referee…for an old fat man, this is beginning to get to me. Still, almost got the week completed. ---

I been following along on FB regarding the statuses you make about it all, Swampy…just so you know. I read and observe a lot and for a long time, but don’t usually say anything. I just offer strong, silent hopes and prayers and thoughts and all that. But in times like these, when the end either comes or is very near and expected, I always have to finally make my feelings known and tell the person, finally, that I’ve been hoping and wishing for you and your family and mom for awhile now. And although I’m so sad and sorry that she’s going and that you have to go through all this, there is that very small, Pyrrhic victory-type part that is glad–at the very least–that she’s at peace and will remain so for the rest of time and can now rest. Still, major hugs. ---

On the way home from the airport, the shuttle drive was a little sleepy. He hit a truck on the freeway (sort of glanced of the side of it). Neither one stopped! :eek: I spent the rest of the drive a little bit white knuckled on the armrest. We all yelled at him, but he just ignored us. Glad to be home! ---

Just semi-witnessed a hit-and-run fender-bender. Dickhead in a black ute\* hit a P-plater\*\* who was waiting to turn. Ute driver sped off after smashing in the guys left tail light. I didn’t see much, I was nearby but not watching, but I think another driver sped after the dickhead to record his license plate. I had nothing useful to contribute. Others were better witnesses than I, so I didn’t stick around. - _A Ute is a kind of pickup truck_ \*\* _A P plater is a restricted driver still basically learning. P stands for Probationary License_ ---

Yeah- it’s a little cafe, just 4 staff members (plus a teenage washer upperer); except the boss is now apparently breaking up with his wife and has turned his normal highly strung behaviour up to 11, then on Wednesday the chef handed in his notice (he’s going through some serious health stuff). It’s gone from being sometimes fun, mostly OK with stressy bits when it’s busy to full shifts of being on edge when nothing anyone can do is good enough, and I can only see it getting worse. Given that I’m leaving to go to uni in a few months anyway, I’m wondering if I should just quit earlier than planned and try find a summer temp job. I do have sufficient savings to live for a couple of months without any income if I had to. ---

Happy Firday! Up too early, _first_ the dog, _second_ saw a few text messages on my phone, one message declining a charge I made as fraud, I fixed it because it is a legit charge the other message of two deposits made to my checking account one of which is my paycheck the other I have no idea what it is, and since it is still pending the bank doesn’t show who it is from _third_ my bladder, only I don’t want to get up and disturb the dog who is snoring away _fourth_ while fixing the fraud stiff I saw an email from somebody I don’t know threatening me and that I’d better never contact them again, along with a whole other bunch of nasty shit and also told me to ask my sister about them if I didn’t believe the threat. I have no clue who it is or wtf they are talking about, because I don’t know anybody by that name. I’m not really going to lose any sleep over it but I am curious. Not curious enough to call my sister, nor curious enough to respond, but I’d love to know what it is all about. _fifth_ I’m waiting on a call from a vet that was supposed to call me right back but hasn’t. Todays agenda is to go to the college for him to take his Biotech exam, mow the lawn, get some packing tape to send the other lawn mower back, take the dog to the vet, and figure out who deposited money into my account. The state never cashed my check, I’m hoping the return was screwed up and they owe me money - wouldn’t that be grand?! However, I suspect payroll made a mistake, it’s been known to happen, and the money will be withdrawn or I’ll get a notice that it will be withheld from my next pay. It it’s warm enough and he is well enough we’ll give the dog a bath. He is drinking/drooling more than usual, under his neck is a mess. He’s not going to like it but he needs a good scrubbing, towels just aren’t getting him cleaned up enough. Especially after he was out in the dirt. I may as well get up and start doing something, I’m not going to sleep any time soon. ---
