Afternoon, all. May I say that I hate my job sometimes? Like when that stupid work last night that I should have had done easily by my regular bedtime was SO much longer an anticipated, I ended up putting a complete all-nighter! I then fed the Idiots and went to bed, and was awakened a couple hours later by them barking; I calmed them down and went back to sleep, only to wake up and find out via email that apparently what they were barking at was the roofer actually fixing the roof leak! And I never even heard him, working right over my head! :eek: So happy birthday to me. Staying up all night the night before, not getting enough sleep to feel human now, and just wanting to go back to bed and pretend the day never happened. ☹ I haven’t tried Zycam, **rosie** , but I hear it’s supposed to be taken at the first sign of a cold, and will shorten its course. I have no idea whether that is so or not, but that’s the report I’ve heard. Love the mooning the Baptists story, **Bobbio**! Baptists can always use a bit of mooning. 😃 I’m going to go back to vegging now. Mainly because I’m completely useless to do anything else. ☹ ---

HIPPO BIRDIES TWO EWES!!! Time for my–well, I was going to say pre-school nap, but that sounds wrong. My pre-class nap sounds better. Brownies are made (I felt like it), dinner is done. Something amusing happened a bit ago. The phone rang-“unknown number”, but I answered it anyway. It’s the Republican National Committee wanting 5 minutes of my time (and then he called my Valerie–no wonder this party’s in trouble!). We got the Valerie straightened out and then he asked me how important it was to me for a GOP to get into the White House instead of (and he named the usual suspects), 0-5. 0=not important; 5=extremely important. I said 0. And then my liberal conscience kicked in and I asked how he got my name. He says it’s because I voted GOP at some point. Doubtful if he would know that–in IL you have to declare and I’m a registered Democrat. I told him so–he got off the phone so quick I was left looking at it in shock. I told the phone that I don’t have cooties and hung up. 😃 ---

I expect if I was really hurting, I might feel different, but even after I had my hysterectomy/appendectomy/intestinal surgicals, I wanted OUT! Because of the intestinal part, I had to stay till I proved I could poo, and that delayed my departure. Face it, there’s no place like home, especially when you need the whole comfort thing. Incidentally, the chocolate cake with fudge frosting is just as yummerrific as you might expect. 😃 ---

I did not vote for the school board candidate who left me a pre-recorded voicemail yesterday. We have a small school district. No school board candidate should have enough money to call the entire community to ask for their vote. They should take the time to go door-to-door or attend community events.
