I hardly ever use it, but I don’t mind it at all. It is a tradition. Once in a blue moon, (when I actually remember) I will use it. So there. ---

Well, what are we supposed to do instead of Hi, Opal!, when we have two things we want to put into a list? We don’t want to irritate Opal, after all, but should we make up some sort of filler for #3? ---

See? This is how it starts. OpalCat once said that it’s an inappropriate use of lists to only list two things; if you only have two things to say, put it in a sentence. So, to avoid annoying her, people began using 1. Blah 2. Blah 3. Hi, Opal! See? We’re cute! We put free tings in our list! Whee! Then it got out of hand, because people started putting Hi, Opal! in at #3, even if they actually _had_ three things to post… ---

Actually, I never do vanity searches\*. Not sure why, but I just don’t. \*on message boards. I do google for “OpalCat” periodically. Current hits: 5,020. ---
