Welcome Dierus. You’ve found the “General Questions” section of the Straight Dope Message Board. This is the place for discussing, posing and answering questions with a factual answer (e.g. why is the sky blue?) Almost anything you can imagine has been asked and answered though, so search the archives first.

There is another board MPSIMS for introducing yourself, random thoughts etc - look in the drop down list at the bottom of your screen.

This site is about the propagation of knowledge and ideas; it (and particularly the GQ forum, where we are now) is a place where you can ask frank questions and (hopefully) receive informed answers - the board has a huge membership, consisting of people from pretty much all walks of life; contributors include qualified lawyers and scientists of many disciplines.

this forum covers every thing you need to know about what you dont know until you know it
only you cant edit posts so be careful and have a pocket ful of apologies (excuses) ready in case someone picks up on your errors.
its fun and wholesome and has a lot of very cool and well read users
glad i found out about it
