Musicat, that’s the problem - my computer CD players don’t let me rewind past 0:0.0 (although I haven’t looked extensively for one that does), and the ripper I use, Easy CD-DA Extractor 5.0 takes the CDs word for when tracks start. Exact Audio Copy can detect the TOC manually, but it seems to miss the first 5 or so seconds of Losing Streak before the first real song comes on. I’ll check out cdparanoia.
Ooh, and I think Beck’s Midnite Vultures has a hidden song before track 4 starts, but not part of track 3.
