As part of a proffessional search, the hair is checked, you start at the top of the bodywith the suspects arms raised and work your way down and actually feel the material not pat it.
The searches on T.V. and in the movies are a joke.
This one was a little over the top. A young man had a dozen or so pistols (a few of them rather large) and a rifle hidden by baggy jeans – stuffed into pockets, waistbands, and down the pants leg. You couldn’t tell just looking at the front of him standing there, but it wouldn’t have been a realistic set-up in terms of walking around unnoticed. Nevertheless, he could have moved around normally with a few of the smaller pistols tucked away without it being obvious.
Oh, I agree. But the point was that with enough planning you can hide anything anywhere. Someone with long hair should be able to hide something as small and light as a Ruger LCP or a .22 derringer.
