I was re-reading John Bellairs _The Face in the Frost_ this week, and came across this: Higgeldy-piggeldy, John Cantacuzene Swaddled in Byzantine Pearl-seeded robes Put out the eyes of his Iconophanical Prelate, for piercing his Priestly ear lobes. The poem has almost nothing at all to do with the story. A wizard is casting a spell and needs a silly rhyme, so he comes up with the above.
