Roman, how did I lose you? You expressed that it was fine to teach CERTAIN morals. You failed to expand on where you drew the line, it was somewhere in between teaching Christianity and teaching kids not to steal.
Not to hijack this thread or anything, but the example with the prisons is completely ridiculous. Prisoner’s cannot exactly choose which prisons they get shipped off to. The entire question of who’s interests are we looking out for becomes convoluted in prison. In schools, vouchers have proved highly effective at forcing local schools into competing and I have a few cite’s to back them up if you insist. I fail to see how financially forcing people into public schools is better than allowing parents to chose more effective schools for their children. Care to expand on how forcing people into certain schools by taking away about a fifth of their income is helpful?
