Unless, of course, the drivers are stupid teenagers driving a tippy SUV and swerving at 100 MPH.
Endoed, I bet.

Which would be a case of “blame the driver for being an idiot, not the cops for trying to safely end the chase.”
CLICK! They were running from the cops on flat tires, pretty good guess they’re not too bright.
smiling bandit: wtf? This thread isn’t about sympathy for the insurance company–we already know we’re going to buy X number of total thefts every year and reflect that statistic in the insurance premium, makes no significant financial difference if the car is wrecked or if it’s parted out or if it goes to Mexico. It is instead sort of about me having a problem with cops chasing runners and the nasty results of the chases. But actually its about me being sad for the people who get killed in the chases. Even the runners–Jesus, in the last example they were just stupid teenagers. Blame their parents, the cops, even them for being stupid if you want, but they were somebody’s kids that ended up with a closed casket service. Maybe they would have ended up dead anyway without the helkp of the police–fucking around and rolling the vehicle on their own. I dunno, there’s just got to be a better solution than high-speed pursuit.
