It stunk. Well, I was handicapped by not having seen the original movie _or_ the TV series, so I couldn’t follow the plot as well as (I guess) was expected of me. But even if I [ihad\*…Well, it was eminently forgettable. Lots of overacting and nondescript special effects. ---

Wow! I was watching for it, but it must not have been very heavily advertised. I missed that it came out in September in the US. I don’t mind that it ignored the Highlander II and III movies. But I’ve read that it also ignored parts of the original and the TV series. Of course, the series did this to the original movie: Connor was supposed to be the last immortal, yet his cousin (or brother) Duncan is alive and immortal. These guys are supposed to be immortal, yet both look about a decade older than their first appearance. ---

They were simply both raised by the clan MacLeod - and I believe Connor’s a hundred or so years older than Duncan. He was certainly a veteran Immortal well before Duncan’s first death. ---

Movies with more flashbacks than actual present day plots can’t possibly be good. Movies with flashbacks _within_ their flashbacks can’t possibly be good. Movies that are 80 minutes long and still seem like 180 can’t possibly be good. Movies that have no characterization, no real plot development or coherent motivation for an evil character can’t possibly be good. Movies based upon sword fighting that have incomprehensible fight scenes filled with terrible camera angles, close ups to blur the action, and backgrounds that change with no explanation as to how they got to that location can’t possibly be good. Movies that offer no explanation to pieces of information available only within the television series, thus alienating any person who isn’t a regular viewer, can’t possibly be good. Highlander Endgame? Oh, 4 stars all the way. :rolleyes:
