Hmm. We’re having a building lawn sale on May 7th, and the sign encourages us to sell crafts. I’m not sure any of my crafts are cheap enough to justify roadside selling. Maybe some. I’ll go through my boxes of jewelry. Chainmail is incredibly labour-intensive, and beadwork isn’t much better. On the other hand, I could maybe make some money. That would be nice. Oh, I just got my pay check, and I got a raise. It’s not huge, but I just got another one at Christmas, and it’s nice to get two in such short order. Happy weekend, everyone! ---

Google, along with MapQuest, can get you anywhere. **Bob** I got directions to the Convention Center. It’s right by the NN/Wms airport. (But the Conv Center’s website is woefully under-informative.) All I need to know is where to me you and yours. If’n I don’t talk to the rest of y’all, have a good weekend. ---

I hope you’re being sarcastic, because the Convention Center is next door to the Hampton Coliseum. The dread Mercury Blvd exit, and everything tha sucks about VDOT… ---

Hey! I’ve been hearing about the purchasing of \*\*Bumba \*\* soaps and lists and yummy smells and why am I not included on the goody getting? Sure, I could mix myself with lye and fat and make myself into soap, but I would use myself into nothingness. Watch out Bumba, I’m e-mailing you with piteous pleadings. The MMP is starting to think alike, I bought some cheesecake yesterday! It’s not too good though, send me a lil’ piece of yours **swampy**. Aw c’mon, I’m not gonna disappear you anymore. 2 hours to the weekend! The gang’s going out for drinks to celebrate a birthday and I do believe there’s a margarita with my name on it. ---

I have 3 1/2 hours to go before the weekend officially begins. If wasn’t too lazy to hit the George store (state run liquor store) tonight, I’d be mixing me a Kamikaze straight up. I love those. As it is, I may have a beer or two tonight. Blech, moldy oranges. You know what’s worse. Biting into and starting to chew a piece of zucchini bread that is moldy. I’ve done that; it’s gross. I didn’t take any meat out of the freezer, so I have no idea what I’m cooking for dinner tonight. Frankly, I could do without dinner, but that wouldn’t fly with the family. Sigh… The sun is still shining. I’m hearing though, that bad weather is supposed to return for the weekend. That figures, we had plans to wander around Seattle on Sunday and then eat dinner before we went to the U2 concert. Still looking for my cheesecake **Swampy.** ---

Taters and Sean: It is a regular range so I guess it sounds like I need a new burner. Hmm… maybe I’ll just use the other 3 as long as I live in this apartment and hope that the elderly landlady doesn’t look too closely at the stove until I move out! :sigh: I made sketti sauce (real thick stuff with sausage and pepperoni and green peppers and chunks of tomato) last night so that’s dinner again tonight. I have all these aspirations to try new dishes but then I get cravings for things like sketti and I don’t get around to making new things. Oh, well. Enjoy the weekend ever’body! ---

This is what had me staring meditatively at the cheesecake in the supermarket today. Now I remember. I didn’t buy any. Poor me. If I had bought one, I’d have to eat the whole thing myself, because Mr. Lissar doesn’t like cheesecake. And desirable as that may sound, it’s almost summer, and I’m trying not to balloon out. Fall’s the time to eat whole cheesecakes. Insulation. ---

And probably why I regretted not ordering cheesecake at lunch. My friend did, but I had a sundae instead. Local best friend got stuck in Atlanta this evening. She was supposed to leave there around 3, I think, but is only now (I hope) leaving. And of course, she has been re-routed. She’s meeting her boyfriend in Germany, so I had to send him an e-mail and then try to call (this was an hour ago when it was about midnight there) and talk to somebody whose name I didn’t know and explain that I was a friend of the boyfriend, but really local best friend’s friend and just needed to get the message to boyfriend that there was a delay and a re-route and instead of flying in directly, she’s flying through Frankfurt and won’t be there till tomorrow afternoon. I’m pretty sure that’s about how clear I was on the phone. Of course, this conversation happened only after I’d called and not left a voicemail for someone named Patricia. Since the number I was trying to reach belongs to a guy, I’m pretty sure I’d hit the wrong number. It was all kind of amusing. When I got to the right number, the woman I spoke to was very nice (and appeared to know the people I was talking about) and hopefully got all the information right. Cuz otherwise the boyfriend is going to have a very long and confusing wait at the airport tomorrow, especially since Local Best Friend is arriving on a different airline than planned. I guess I should go find something to eat. Although I’m not actually hungry. Oh, and **Bumba** , I too, am crushed that I do not have a list of available soaps. (I didn’t want to say anything, but since **Ashes [SUP]2[/SUP]** brought it up…) If your e-mail isn’t in your profile so that I can bug you about this, my addy is in my profile. My FIL just dropped in to give me a beautiful black-red-and-gold sari. He was in India on business. It’s a gorgeous sari. I’m deciding if I should cut it up and make it into a fantastic skirt. Maybe. I need Quasi-Daughter’s fashion advice. And I replaced my hip-scarf, for only $34. The old one was blue with lots of coins. The new one is black with lots and lots of coin, and streamery bits that go to my ankles. It might be a little too elaborate for class, but it’s pretty and cheap. Normally they run to $100. It’s pretty sparkly day here, which is good, because the weather bloody sucks. Cold rain. ---

I’d like to go back to class eventually, I had to drop out due to lack of time, money and energy. Maybe a nice hip scarf would be a good incentive. ---

A place in the local farmer’s market, sorry. There’s a guy that imports them directly from Egypt, so they’re pretty cheap. I could get you one and mail it, if you tell me your colour preferences. Are there no stores in your area that carry bellydance gear? I’m not actually sure about the streamer bits. It’s hard to do changing levels stuff with them. I keep stepping on them. I’ll probably either cut them off, or get a less obtrusive one for class and keep the black for clubbing and performance.
